Mindful Art Meditation is the practice of focusing on the present moment through a creative activity while exploring your artistic expression. It is another way to access a meditative state of mind and the profound healing it brings without the pressure of performing.
Both meditation and creating art require you to focus on the present moment. Combining both encourages a creative alternative to your regular seated technique. This activity gets you out of your head and into the present moment, helping to ground you and remove your thoughts for a bit.
Anyone can do Mindful Art Meditation – even if you think you aren’t artsy enough, or if traditional meditation is not for you. The end product does not matter, the process does. This activity requires you to pay attention to every stroke, every line, every mark you make on the piece of paper, drawing you attention into this one activity. As you become absorbed in the art you’re creating, everything else around you fades away.
We invite you to join us in Mindful Art Meditate and experience internal peace by leaving it all on paper.
